Tom Cunningham, owner and president of TC-Accessories, was one of the original paratroopers of the 173^rd Airborne Brigade when it was formed and activated in Okinawa, and then deployed with the unit when it was transferred to the Republic of Vietnam. He was also with 12th Special Forces Group, was a member of the US Army Golden Knights Parachute Team, and is an honorary life time member of that organization. He made parachute jumps, and taught sky diving for about 30 years.

He is retired from the Chicago Fire Department (33 ½ years), and the Chicago Police Department (2 ½ years) after 36 years of service. He is a Patriot & Lifetime member of the NRA, an Endowment & Lifetime member of the Illinois State Rifle Association, a certified range safety officer, an Election Volunteer Co-coordinator for the 11^th Congressional District, a member of the ISRA Range Facility Committee, and 5 time member of the ISRA Nominating Committee. He also competes in various classes of rifle competition.

Tom saw a need for case deflectors for the all of the AR platform weapons systems (AR-15, AR-10 in any upper receiver configuration) for both competition, and tactical use. Anyone who has ever been burnt by a ejected case, no matter the cause, has a need for this product. They are currently being used by competitors, and the military has started purchasing the deflectors in large numbers. They allow operators to give each other fire support in close quarters without flying hot brass being a distraction. He currently holds 4 US Patents, and patents in 19 foreign countries. Tom has also developed various case deflectors for the 1911 pattern pistols, the AK 47 rifle, and the M1A1 rifle.
